So these are the minor deities! Most of them belong to a circle of one of the divine seven but they can act independently as well. As you can see, most of these guys have minimal information written about them so if you would like to expand on it, simply send one of the staff a PM and we can discuss adding more depth and history to them! A minor deity could also be a guardian of a specific planet (NB. that I will not allow some deities to have only influenced one planet). If you want to add a new deity then you have but to ask and we'll sort something out
These are the minor deities pledged to Elbereth's service, meaning they protect celestial objects and the ideals of justice. Paladins who seek to gain the favour of the Defender will often go to one of the following deities first:
Goddess of Laws
Vala is the goddess of laws, she defends the ideals of justice without prejudice. She is considered to be among the more powerful members of Elbereth's circle though she rarely uses her powers, only seeing fit to use them against those who have been tried and found guilty.
Goddess of the Night
Silma goes by many names though she is widely recognised on most planets. She is the silent guardian of the night, the watcher in the shadows and her strength comes from trading secrets. Of all of those in Elbereth's circle, she is the least held back by regulation. She acts for the good of the worlds but her methods are oft questionable.
The Morning Star
Asteria is the bright and constant reminder of hope during the dark hours. She was granted the responsibility of caring for the morning star and harnessing its power after she gave up her own power to protect an entire planet from plunging into eternal darkness.
Goddess of Moons
Selene is the graceful and elegant guardian of moons. She is recognised as a representative of justice and strives to protect others. She is one of the more reserved goddesses of Elbereth's circle and teaches about modesty and selflessness.
The Sun Goddess
Aurora's story is still told by many in tales and folklore and she is among the most worshipped deities. She was the goddess of the sun and lover of Selene but famously gave up her divinity when there was talk among the deities of punishing the mortals for their greed and corruption. Aurora opposed this view and was reborn as a mortal to prove that they are not all inherently evil. Without memories of her previous life, she was born to a family in the middle of a war zone. The deities watched as she grew older and suffered pain and loss like all other mortals but despite everything that happened to her, Aurora cast aside her personal feelings and strove to find peace. She did not discriminate, hate or take acts of vengeance- no matter how much she would have liked to.
By setting an example, she started to bring an end to the war and brought peace. She was later hailed as a Saint and died of old age at 82. Once she had died, a gathering of the divine seven decided to reinstate her godhood for her courage and her exemplary actions.
Her teachings speak of setting good examples for others and being the better man when confronted with injustice.
